Etymology, n.

etymology n. — the study of individuals who consume an entire packet of food (generally snacks such as crackers, cookies, potato chips, popcorn, candies) without offering any to their companions.

Um. Is a study of "lack of manners" really necessary? I'd suggest that anyone engaged in such a field seek a more useful, productive endeavor.

And don't socialize with anyone who won't share their cookies!

Rick — I think it's a useful study for advice columnists. When they understand this behavio(u)r, they can better advise people how to deal with it.
